ABOUT US
SKS Hospital is Salem’s oldest Multi-speciality hospital. Established in 1987 with 85 beds, today we have over 225 beds offering quality primary, secondary and tertiary care services, across all specialities. We are a super-speciality referral centre for the region with several pioneering first to our credit such as the first Renal Transplant and Cardiac Surgery in the region as well as pioneering Endo-Urology and Laparoscopic Surgery in India.

We serve patients from all over India and are conveniently located next to the Central Bus Stand and less than 4 kilometer’s from the Railway station.
S K Sengoda Gounder
Recognising the lack of quality healthcare and seeing the public suffering, Mr S K Sengoda Gounder founded SKS Hospital in 1987, the first Multi-speciality hospital in the region. He has been our guiding light and his values of integrity, high moral standards, hard work and above all else, humility & compassion to fellow beings will continue to be at the core of everything we do.
His words and actions have uplifted innumerable people and we strive to continue his legacy of philanthropy.
His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure and he is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. We honour him everyday through our continued service to the public.

Sree Vasantha
Ms Vasantha co-founded SKS Hospital in 1987 as the first Multi-speciality hospital in Salem. She is currently the Chairman of the Hospital. She has wide cross-functional experience working in several positions across the spectrum.
