Dr R Shinika is a passionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She works with the vision to promote and protect mental health of children and adolescents.
She underwent her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training from the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore.
She has more than 6 years of experience in working with children and adolescents.
She was instrumental in developing the whole Psychiatry Unit including Child Development Unit at Naruvi Hospitals, Vellore.

School Mental health program
Life Skills training programme for X to XII boys at St. Paul’s school, Salem. Discussed about the topic ‘Coping with Stress’. Students showed lot of enthusiasm and interest in this activity. And group discussion post activity was also encouraged by giving pens to spokesperson!
Life Skills Training program for class 12 students at Shri Vidya Mandir school, Rasipuram. The topic discussed was “Coping with Stress along with saying no to Suicide”! The event was organised as a part of our World Suicide Prevention day programme!
