Consultant Shoulder,Knee and Sports Injury Surgeon at SKS Hospital. He has completed DNB Orthopedic Surgery from Apollo Hospital, one of the leading chain of premier healthcare hospitals in India. Following the post graduation, he underwent training in complex trauma and adult reconstruction under senior UK trained surgeon, Dr Anand Kumar. During the fellowship, he developed the passion for Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine which triggered a series of professional achievements in his career.

In conformity with the current trend of choosing a sub-speciality and undergoing extensive training, he started his sub-speciality training in Knee Surgery under Dr Vinay Kumaraswamy, another UK trained senior surgeon from Fortis Hospital, Bangalore. Under his supervision, he was entirely trained in knee surgery.

Considering the high expertise required for Shoulder Surgery, he chose to undergo further training when he was awarded globally renown ISAKOS approved Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery at Velammal Hospital Madurai under Dr K N Subramanian (F.R.C.S.,UK), one of the top shoulder surgeons in India. Here he was competently trained in various aspects of shoulder surgeries. Working at a high volume centre where more than 1000 surgeries are being done annually, the training he received was on par with current shoulder and elbow specialists. The list of surgeries included Shoulder Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy, Rotator Cuff Repair, Arthroscopic Bankart Repair and Latarjet for instability, trauma care surgery of Shoulder and Elbow, Total Elbow Replacement, Arthroscopy of Elbow/Knee/Ankle.

Finishing the training on a high note, he went to UK when he was awarded the prestigious Shoulder and Knee Fellowship at University Hospital of Llandoudh, Cardiff, Wales, UK. He was trained by three eminent shoulder surgeons- Dr Angus Robertson, Dr Timothy Mathews and Dr Richard Evans. Under their supervision, he was exposed to various aspects of shoulder surgeries, especially shoulder joint replacement. Prof Timothy Mathews is one of the leading surgeon in the number of shoulder joint replacements done in UK. He was also exposed to knee preservation surgeries such a High Tibial Osteotomy and Unicondylar Knee Replacement surgery under Dr Maurius Calciu and Dr Rhys Williams.
